David Petrina, B.Eng. & Mgt., M.A.Sc., E.I.T.
Site Engineer

David is a site engineer responsible for various services including construction review, Reserve Fund Studies, and building condition assessments. He has been with Edison since 2008 and is completely committed to the firm’s client focused approach.

David is a graduate from McMaster University with both an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from the department of Civil Engineering. Throughout his academic career he has specialized in structural engineering with extensive knowledge in strengthening reinforced concrete flexural members using composite materials.

His advanced degree, supervised by Dr. AG Razaqpur, has given him both theoretical and hands-on experience in reinforced concrete design and construction. The reinforced specimens used in the study were designed, fabricated, tested and analyzed by David. The test results and findings were promising as the University is currently obtaining a patent on the technique.

David’s undergraduate degree is unique to McMaster University combining an engineering bachelor’s degree with a strong business curriculum. Business emphasis was placed on economics, human resources, finance, accounting and process management.
